In my opinion, electric toothbrush is probably the best investment I've made in my oral health. For a long time I used a manual toothbrush, and although it worked okay, I was simply amazed at how much better in electric toothbrush was. I went to my dentist last year, and after getting a few fillings, he recommended I try an electric toothbrush. He actually gave me a cheap one for free, after using it for a few weeks I decided to invest in a good one. I'm so glad I did.
First of all, electric toothbrushes clean so much better than regular toothbrushes. Since with a regular toothbrush you have to move your arm back and forth for every movement, is simply no way you can be an electric toothbrush. The best electric toothbrush vibrates up to 500 times per second; unless you are The Flash, or simply no way you'd be able to do this with a regular toothbrush. Every time I use my electric toothbrush I can't believe how clean my mouth feels.
I also invested in electric toothbrush for my kids. I had a hard time getting my son to properly brush his teeth with a regular toothbrush, but one I bought him the kids electric toothbrush, that all changed. Since electric toothbrush is often have built-in timers and make brushing fun, it's so much easier to get him to properly brush his teeth. It used to be somewhat of a struggle to even get him to brush at all, but now he does it all by himself.
I also bought an electric toothbrush for my elderly grandmother. Since she suffered a stroke, it is very hard for her to clean her teeth with a regular toothbrush, as she simply doesn't have much motor control in her arms and a more. Since electric toothbrushes work mostly by themselves, it lets people with this problem have independence when it comes to brushing their own teeth. My grandmother had never used in electric toothbrush before I bought her one, but now she always talks about how much he likes it. I'm very glad I bought her one.
As you can tell, I simply love electric toothbrushes. I only wish I'd discovered them earlier, as it would've saved a lot of fillings. Oh well.
I would definitely recommend that everyone buys in electric toothbrush. You really don't know what you're missing if you've never tried one before. I wouldn't recommend buying a cheapy one; invest in a decent midrange to high range modeling you'll definitely be pleased with the results.
Anyway, I hope this convinces some people do buy one. It'll definitely thank me if you do!
